Lake Bronson

Eden lives in Lake Bronson and offers a Violin Residency

Musician Eden Johnson lives in Lake Bronson with her husband and their three daughters. Depending on the day one might find Eden either accompanying her local Lutheran church, watching musicals with her family, reading, giving violin lessons, or practicing on one of her instruments. While her main focus and passion is the violin, Eden also sings, plays the piano, and is currently learning the harp.

The violin Eden plays once belonged to her great grandmother who gave music lessons under the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn music. It is with this shared belief that Eden approaches teaching violin. She focuses not only on how to play the violin and read music; but also on letting her students set their pace in order to cultivate a love for music and appreciating the journey of learning music. Eden enjoys teaching and hopes to share and spark a love for the violin with her students.

Artist Eden Johnson

My favorite quote is from Victor Hugo who summarizes the importance of music in a person’s life quite perfectly. He said ‘Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.’ I believe music is a bridge in which our soul and emotions have a way to express ourselves when words are not found. And I enjoy providing a means for students to experience the power of music in their own lives.

This is why I’ll provide my own violins for the residencies that I teach. I want to share my love of music and playing the violin to others through teaching and I hope to inspire others to want to play and make music with the violin as well.
