Grant Program Activity Dates FY 2027
(June 30, 2026-June 30, 2027)
All grants that NWMAC administers are listed below with application deadlines, board approval dates, and grant periods for FY 2027.
Arts Grants to Organizations
General Operating for Non-Profit Arts Organizations
Applications Accepted on anOn-going Basis. Application Available: July 1, 2026/ Board Meeting Approval throughout the year. Grant period: October 2026 – April 2028.
Note: All 501(c)3 arts nonprofits start by completing a general operating grant form. Once approved, they are eligible to add-on to their grant for additional funding throughout the year.
Arts Grants for Government Entities and Nonprofit Organizations (from $500 up to $10,000 per grant)
1st Deadline: Application Deadline: July 31, 2026 /Board Approval: August 27, 2026/ Grant Period: Oct 2026 - April 2028
2nd Deadline: Application Deadline: October 31, 2026/ Board Approval: December 17, 2026/ Grant Period: January 2027 - April 2028
3rd Deadline:Application Deadline: February 28, 2027/ Board Approval: April 22, 2027/ Grant Period: May 2027 - April 2028
4th Deadline: Application Deadline: April 30, 2027/ Board Approval: June 24, 2027/ Grant Period: June 2027 - March 2028
Arts Grants to Schools
Artist Residency up to $3,000 per grant for Schools
Applications Accepted onan On-Going Basis. Application Available:July 1. Board Meeting Approval throughout the year.
Grant period: October 2026 - June 2028.
Arts Project Equipment up to $3,000 for Schools
Application Deadline: September 30, 2026 and then on a first come first served basis/ Board Approval: December 17, 2026/ Grant Period: Jan 2027- December 2027
Arts Grants to Individuals
Artist Project for Individuals $5,000, $3,000, $1,500
1st Application Deadline: November 15, 2026 / Board Approval: December 17, 2026/Grant Period: Jan 2027 – Dec 2027
2nd Application Deadline: April 30, 2027/ Board Approval: June 24, 2027/Grant Period: June 2027-March 2028
NWMAC no longer offers the Quick Turn Around grant. Artists desiring an active artist award for reimbursement of eligible purchases can talk with our staff to see if what they would like to purchase qualifies for reimbursement. It is a one page form for reimbursement of up to $500. One active artist award per artist in a calendar year.
Application Review and Award Notification
All applications are reviewed and scored remotely by teams of panelists. Action will be taken at the next Board meeting following the grant deadline. Applicants will be notified by email after board action.
Panel Review Meetings: Panel meetings will be conducted via telephone. Members of the public are welcome to call in and listen to the review. Due to zoom hacking, we will happily provide the meeting information as requested in order to monitor attendance.

Board Meetings: Board meetings are conducted as a combination of in person and virtual. Members of the public are welcome to call in and listen to the board meeting. Stay tuned for the below to be updated. There may be board or executive meetings added if needed.
