Please join NWMAC Staff in a live discussion with Kristine Sorenson and Rena Zapata Bouchard of In Progress and Studio 110. Front and center will be the Fournet exhibit -- Fresh Voices – Celebrating 30 Years of Photography in Crookston -- an exhibit featuring photographs by Crookston Latino Community Members. In addition to the exhibit, we will talk about the photography, In Progress, digital photography, celebrating 30 years, and much more! You can watch the discussion live on NWMAC Facebook or YouTube page (and ask questions or make comments). After the discussion ends, we’ll share a link to the recording.
The exhibit is open through December at the Historic Fournet Building, 101 N Broadway, Downtown Crookston, 2nd Floor in the Atrium. It includes 16 pieces of art by 14 artists. All are photography and digital work, including portraits, self-portraits, and family portraits.
About the exhibit, In Progress Director Kristine Sorenson said, “Having this exhibit at the Fournet provides an opportunity to see Crookston through the lives and experiences of its Latino community. These photographs and stories remind us that Latino families have been part of this community for generations — working, raising families, serving others, and helping shape the place we call home. It is important that these stories are seen, remembered, and recognized as part of Crookston’s history.”
