Rena Bouchard is a freelance makeup artist, photographer, arts advocate, and mother to three daughters. She also volunteers with community outreach and public relations for InProgress/Studio 110 (a digital arts studio) in Crookston. She is a Jill-of-all-trades when it comes to planning events and coordinating things.

Rena is passionate about connecting students with arts opportunities. Asked why she wanted to join the NWMAC Board of Directors, Rena explained that she hopes to broaden her network in the arts field and become more familiar with what’s available to support the arts.  She feels the arts are important in letting people express themselves in a “non-mediocre way.” Rena believes that the arts provide the ability to speak without having to say anything at all. Art also “keeps cultures alive and passes down generations of customs and traditions to family that would otherwise be lost. Arts give us the beauty in the ugly and sometimes vice versa.”
